The Risalla Scholarship for Excellence in Arabic and Islamic Education
This scholarship is awarded to two senior students completing their final year of high school that exemplify both academic excellence and cultural understanding in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
A grant of 1,000 USD will be given to each student to be used towards the students’ university tuition.
Must be taking Arabic language and Islamic Studies
Must have a minimum of A- standing in the subject areas (6 in IB)
Must write a 500-word statement on what the Arabic language and Islamic culture has meant to them, how it has helped shape their lives, and how their studies will impact them in the future.
The grant is awarded to students who show exceptional academic excellence in the Arabic language, but further than that, portray and embrace the Arab culture and the values of Islam. They encourage a sense of community, understanding, and show a passion for both the Arabic language and Islamic faith both in and outside of the classroom.

We will then require an official copy of the students’ most recent transcript, as well as a 500-word statement from the student sent to i no later than March 01 2016.
Winners will be notified by may 31st.
